Cranial Osteopathy is a subtle but potent form of treatment
Cranial Osteopaths recognise the importance of the suble mechanics at work in the head and their impact on the whole body. Osteopaths are able to feel the small movements that occur between the bones of the human skull which, when disturbed, may give rise to ill health. As a result of this dysfunction, symptoms may be felt locally or lead to bodywide effects. For example, when we experience physical or emotional stresses, our body tissues tend to tighten up. The body may have been able to adapt to these effects at the time, but a lasting strain often remains. Any tensions that are held in the body can restrict its free movement – over time the body may find it difficult to cope with accumulated stresses and symptoms may develop.
It’s all about supporting the body so that it can make the necessary changes itself.
Cranial Osteopathy is a gentle and subtle form of treatment that encourages the release of stresses and strains throughout the whole body, including the head.
